The Latin America region is a strategic market for BNP Paribas, with a diverse range of countries contributing to the bank's business and long-standing relationships with clients. While Brazil is the largest economy in the region, other major countries, such as Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, and Argentina, are also significant contributors. BNP Paribas has a rich history in Hispanic Latin America, with a presence dating back to 1914. Today, the bank employsnearly 3,900people across its Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and International Financial Services divisions in the region. The CIB team in Hispanic Latin Americacomprisesapproximately 400 professionals, ensuring comprehensive coverage of BNP Paribas' client franchise in the region.

In Colombia, BNP Paribas has a significant presence through four entities and two representative offices, which together represent the Group's diverse activities. The Corporate and Institutional Banking division is represented by the BNP Paribas S.A. Representative Office, Corporación Financiera, and BNP Paribas Securities Services SociedadFiduciariaS.A. Job Purpose:
Contributes to building a more scalable and efficient operating model by supporting the integration of data, automation and AI driven tools into day-to-day trading and operational workflows.
Help transform the FX/Trades desk by automating manual processes, improving data capabilities and introducing AI based solutions that reduce operational risk and enhance decision making.
Duties and Responsibilities
Help with the development and automation of current and prospective reports.
Support the analysis and documentation of critical processes.
Assist in automating repeatable tasks such as booking, validation, reconciliation, report generation and control checks.
Develop and contribute ideas and solutions that accelerate and improve existing processes.
Lead the analysis of market and client data to surface trends, patterns, and opportunities that enhance pricing and client engagement.
Translate data insights into simple, actionable recommendations for the trading and sales teams.
Design, test, and deploy AI‑driven assistants, alert generators, and basic predictive models.
Document senior traders' pricing logic, risk controls, and execution practices. Convert that knowledge into structured formats such as process documentation, playbooks, or simple decision frameworks.
Drive a "knowledge‑sharing"initiative that reduces reliance on individual expertise.
Identify quick‑win automation opportunities, measure their impact (time saved, error reduction), and champion a culture of curiosity around new data‑automation and AI tools.
Replace Sales analyst on daily tasks and duties whenever absent.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
Proven hands-on experience in ML Engineering or Data Engineering for production systems
Demonstrated track record of shipping ML models used by real users
Experience: 0-2years of professional experience in Software/automation development, Data Engineer, Data analysis or data pipeline construction, Business analysis / process improvement projects.
Medium level of English, Microsoft Excel, Power point, Proficient in Python and SQL, familiarity with RPA tools or ability to write robust scripts/macros, experience with data visualization tools, exposure to AI/ML concepts (LLMs, basic predictive modelling) basic version control knowledge (Git).
