University of Colorado Boulder seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its Vice Chancellor for Information Technology. Reporting to the Senior Vice Chancellor of Operations, the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology (VCIT) will align information technology strategy with the institution’s mission, strategic priorities, and goals for academic excellence and research distinction. The VCIT will play a critical role in advancing administrative effectiveness and supporting institutional growth initiatives, including enrollment expansion, research competitiveness, and an enhanced student experience.
The successful candidate will be a mission-driven leader with a strong record of building high-performing teams and strengthening IT services in a complex R1 research university. A collaborative, trusted partner, the VCIT will communicate clearly, build strong relationships across campus and with external stakeholders, and guide meaningful change through credibility, influence, and consensus.

CU Boulder will offer an annual salary range of $360,000 – $415,000 for this role, plus a recruitment incentive and a moving allowance (if applicable).
