Location: This position is a hybrid role based out of our Canonsburg, PA office. The current expectation is that we are in office two days each week (Tuesday-Wed), with extra additional days as required during the month.

Senior Data Analyst The Senior Data Analyst will serve as a core contributor within the Data Solutions team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, customer-facing data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and data access products. This role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer-facing teams to gain understanding of the needs/requests and perform analytics to develop solutions that will support the various custom/Ad-hoc in nature business and client requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Design and deliver scalable data solutions supporting Data Access feeds, reporting modules, dashboards, and analytics products;
- Translate product requirements, customer needs, and operational use cases into well-structured data models, views, and analytical outputs;
- Develop complex SQL-based transformations and queries across relational and cloud data platforms (e.g., Oracle SQL Developer, Snowflake, PostgreSQL);
- Design and maintain logical and physical data models optimized for performance, reuse, and customer self-service;
- Partner with Engineering and Product to align data models with platform capabilities, roadmap direction, and security standards;
- Ensure consistency and traceability of data definitions across products and customer deliverables;
- Support customer-facing analytics by ensuring data accuracy, clarity, and explainability;
- Produce documentation describing data structures, business logic, metrics definitions, and known limitations;
- Act as a subject matter expert during customer escalations, implementation questions, and data validation efforts;
- Perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies, pipeline failures, and performance issues;
- Enforce data quality checks, validation logic, and auditability within delivered solutions;
- Ensure all data solutions comply with HIPAA, internal security policies, and data access controls;
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to refine requirements and influence solution design;
- Provide technical guidance and review for junior analysts; and
- Contribute to standards, best practices, and reusable patterns across the Data Solutions team
Job Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or analytics-focused software development;
- Strong SQL expertise (Oracle SQL Developer, Snow SQL, T-SQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent);
- Experience designing data models and analytics for external customers or productized data offerings;
- Experience working in regulated data environments (healthcare preferred);
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured data solutions;
- Strong documentation and communication skills;
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake);
- Familiarity with modern BI tools (Power BI, Looker, etc.);
- Exposure to healthcare analytics, claims data, or quality measures (e.g., HEDIS);
- Experience supporting tiered data products, customer entitlements, or role-based access;
- Prior collaboration with Product Management teams:
- Maintain compliance with the Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within the Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
- Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;

Education: - Master's degree plus 3 years of experience, will accept a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study, plus at least 5 years of experience in a related role.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
- Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions
- Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
- Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
Inovalon Offers a Competitive Salary and Benefits Package In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$77,000-$119,700 USD
