Responsibilities
Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a highly organized and data-driven Senior Consultant Lead, Portfolio Operations (Data, Analytics & Insights) to join our Portfolio Strategy & Operations team. THis role plays a critical role in transforming data into strategic intelligence that drives portfolio decisions, investment prioritization, and business performance across Hexagon's global software portfolio.
This role partners closely with Product Management, Finance, Strategy, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver actionable analytics, market insights, and operational dashboards that guide the "where to play" and "how to win" decisions for the business.
The ideal candidate combines analytical depth, strategic curiosity, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, executive-level insights that influence decision-making at the highest levels.
Portfolio Data & Analytics
- Own the design and governance of the portfolio performance analytics framework, including metrics for ARR growth, bookings, GRR/NRR, E/R ratios, innovation mix, and product health.
- Partner with Finance and BI teams to build automated dashboards and scorecards that provide real-time visibility into portfolio performance.
- Create and maintain portfolio-level data models that support scenario planning, investment trade-offs, and forecasting.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and standardization across systems (CRM, ERP, product telemetry, PLM, etc.).
Market & Competitive Insights
- Lead market research and benchmarking across segments, verticals, and competitors to identify growth opportunities and risk exposure.
- Synthesize trends from market data, analyst reports, and customer feedback into strategic insights for the CPO and ELT.
- Develop "growth play" analytics—quantifying total addressable market (TAM/SAM/SOM), penetration, and white-space opportunities.
- Provide structured insight packs to support investor relations narratives, product strategy reviews, and portfolio planning cycles.
Strategic Decision Support
- Partner with Portfolio Strategy leadership to inform capital allocation and product investment decisions using data-driven frameworks.
- Develop executive-ready presentations and storytelling around portfolio performance, growth drivers, and risk areas.
- Support the annual and quarterly portfolio review cadence, preparing data-backed recommendations for product prioritization, innovation funding, and operational improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Serve as the subject matter expert for portfolio analytics and research, mentoring analysts and cross-functional partners on best practices.
- Contribute to the development of a portfolio data operating model—defining standards, taxonomies, and metrics used across the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement of analytics processes and tools through automation, AI, and advanced visualization techniques.

Education / Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, product strategy, portfolio operations, or management consulting (preferably in SaaS, industrial software, or technology sectors).
- Proven experience synthesizing financial, market, and product data into strategic insights and executive recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms, plus advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling.
- Working knowledge of SaaS metrics (ARR, ACV, NRR, bookings, GRR, E/R) and product lifecycle KPIs.
- Familiarity with Pragmatic Institute or similar product management frameworks preferred.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—able to distill complex data into simple, visual, and actionable insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or Engineering; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
