Pricing Data Analyst

Permanent | Full-Time | Sydney CBD (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience (1-4 years)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Pricing Data Analyst to join a growing organisation within the automotive and vehicle repair industry.

This is a high-impact role supporting pricing strategy, commercial performance, and business growth. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Pricing, Sales, and Commercial teams, helping shape data-driven decisions that directly influence revenue and margin outcomes.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for maintaining pricing data integrity, delivering insights, and developing models that support commercial initiatives and business expansion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain and manage pricing datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems
• Conduct margin analysis, rate reviews, competitor benchmarking, and price sensitivity analysis
• Develop pricing models to support product launches and pricing adjustments
• Deliver dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting using Excel, SQL, and Power BI
• Analyse revenue, margin, volume, and customer behaviour trends
• Provide actionable commercial insights and recommendations
• Drive continuous improvement across pricing analytics, automation, and reporting processes

About You

We are seeking someone with 1-4 years' experience in pricing, commercial analytics, or data analytics who is technically strong and commercially curious.

You will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into commercial insights
• Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, modelling, pivot tables, dashboards, Power Query; VBA/macros advantageous)
• Proven experience writing SQL queries and building Power BI dashboards from scratch
• Experience in pricing modelling, forecasting, or regression analysis (highly desirable)
• Strong stakeholder communication skills with confidence presenting to non-technical audiences
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Motor, vehicle, financial services, or related industry exposure will be highly regarded but not essential.
