The City of Cleveland, OH (population 381,009), is the 18th largest city in the United States, home to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum and four professional sports teams. The city is seeking information technology professionals as candidates for its IT Applications Project Manager position.

The City of Cleveland is currently searching for an IT Applications Project Manager to join an elite team of IT professionals dedicated to securing, administering, maintaining, and upgrading the City’s Enterprise Infrastructure.

The IT Applications Project Manager will coordinate with analyst/programmers, documentation specialists, user technology specialists, and other support staff involved in the development of new or maintenance of existing information technology systems.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with multiple mission-critical applications support and maintenance, including, but not limited to improvements, upgrades, training, documentation, and general support
  • Implementing computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems
  • Helps with software design and in testing standards

Ideal candidates will be successful in meeting the below minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time paid experience in the area of project management
  • Project Management Certification
    • Substitutes: Two additional years of college education
  • Understanding of SQL servers, web applications, XML, database design and web administration framework

This is a full time/40 hours per week direct hire position with the City of Cleveland.
