Position Information

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
A master's degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred.
Position Summary
The position of the Director of Assessment, Accreditation, and Continuous Improvement reports to the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Programs. The staff member will oversee and manage assessment processes in the College of Education. This position will also support state and national program approval and accreditation, and internal university processes such as PRAC and annual student learning outcomes for the College.

Assessment Leadership
- Facilitate workshops for faculty on developing and refining student learning outcomes.
- Coordinate annual assessment reporting cycles for academic and co-curricular units.
- Review and provide feedback on assessment plans and results submitted by departments.
- Develop templates and tools to support consistent assessment practices.
- Lead the implementation of a centralized assessment management system
Program Review and Continuous Improvement
- Oversee the academic program review schedule and ensure timely completion.
- Develop guidelines and rubrics for evaluating program effectiveness.
- Facilitate review panels and feedback sessions with faculty and administrators.
- Track implementation of action plans resulting from program reviews.
- Promote use of assessment and review data in strategic planning and student learning.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collaborate with college, university, and external partners to analyze trends in student learning and program outcomes.
- Prepare dashboards and visualizations for academic leadership and other constituencies.
- Write executive summaries of assessment and accreditation findings.
- Respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms
Collaboration and Staff/Faculty Development
- Provide one-on-one consultations with program chairs on assessment strategies.
- Perform reliability and validity analyses, content validity studies, and trend analyses as needed to support data collection, reporting, and analysis.
- Participate in local and state conferences to stay current.
- Serve on institutional committees related to academic quality and planning.
- Foster cross-unit collaboration to integrate assessment into broader institutional goals.
Provide supervision and guidance for 5 staff members.
